Leads & targeting

How do you source and verify your leads?

Our leads come from two main sources. For local businesses we maintain our own Google Maps data infrastructure, so we can pull fresh data on demand instead of relying on a stale database. Our LinkedIn-based B2B data is licensed from a leading data partner (the same grade of data that powers the major sales-intelligence platforms) and refreshed monthly. Several secondary sources are combined and deduplicated on our end.

Every email address goes through seven verification checks (syntax, domain, live mailbox test, catch-all detection, and more), and when we have several possible emails for a contact, an internal scoring system picks the most reliable one. On top of that, live verification gates let you check a contact right before outreach: for example, whether the person has recently been active on LinkedIn, is still at the same company, or has a minimum follower count.

Can I target businesses by industry, revenue, company size, and location?

Yes. The lead finder lets you combine filters for:

  • Industry: pick industries from the standard NAICS taxonomy, or simply describe your niche in your own words and we match it for you.
  • Company revenue: revenue ranges from under $1M up to $1B+, which is also the best way to target by company size.
  • Location: country, state, and city. We match both the contact’s own location and the company headquarters.
  • The right person: job title (free text) and seniority level, from Owner and C-level down to Manager and Staff.
  • More: company name, technologies the company’s website runs on (e.g. Shopify or WordPress), and founding year.

Account & billing

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Go to My Account → Billing and click Manage Subscription. This opens a secure billing portal where you can update your payment method, view invoices, change your plan, or cancel. The portal will ask you to confirm your email address — use the same email you signed up with.

If you subscribed through the App Store, subscriptions are managed through your device instead: on Apple, open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Google Play, open Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions. We cannot cancel or refund App Store subscriptions directly.

Pricing & credits

What is the cost per inbox?

Everything in SMM Deal Finder is priced in credits — you receive credits with your subscription and can buy more in the app at any time, starting at $0.03 per credit (the price per credit drops the more you buy). A dedicated inbox purchased from us costs 390 credits (from ~$12) and covers 3 months, warmup included. Inboxes you connect yourself (Gmail, Microsoft, or IMAP/SMTP) are free to add — you only pay for the emails you send.

How much does each email I send cost?

Every email sent through a campaign costs 3 credits (from ~$0.09). You are only charged for emails that are actually sent — if a send fails for any reason, the credits are refunded automatically.

Is there a charge for replies I receive?

No. Receiving replies is completely free — there is no credit charge when a prospect answers one of your emails.

Do follow-ups and my own replies cost credits too?

Each email a campaign sends — the initial outreach and every automated follow-up in the sequence — costs the same 3 credits. Replying to a prospect yourself doesn’t use any credits; credits are only spent on campaign sends.

What does a domain cost?

When you purchase dedicated inboxes, the domain costs 700 credits (from ~$21) and is paid for a full year — registration and DNS setup are handled for you. Each domain can hold up to 3 inboxes (390 credits each, covering 3 months). To cancel, simply delete the inboxes from your pool.

Inboxes & sending

Which connection method should I use for my inbox?

All options live under My Account → Connect Email:

  • Google (Gmail / Workspace) — connects via IMAP/SMTP using an App Password (see the next question). You only enter your email address and the App Password; server settings are handled for you.
  • Microsoft (Outlook / 365) — connects via OAuth: you sign in with your Microsoft account in a couple of clicks, no passwords to copy.
  • IMAP/SMTP — for any other email provider. Enter the server details from your provider; you can verify the credentials with the built-in connection test before saving.

How do I connect a Gmail inbox with an App Password?

When connecting a Gmail account via IMAP/SMTP, Google does not accept your normal Google password — you need an App Password:

  1. Make sure 2-Step Verification is enabled on your Google account (Google Account → Security). App Passwords are only available with 2-Step Verification turned on.
  2. Open myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, give the password a name (e.g. "SMM Deal Finder"), and click Create.
  3. Google shows a 16-character password once. Copy it — this is what you’ll use as the IMAP and SMTP password.
  4. In SMM Deal Finder, go to My Account → Connect Email → Google (Gmail / Workspace) and enter your Gmail address and the App Password. Server settings are configured automatically.

If you connect through the generic IMAP/SMTP form or CSV bulk import instead, use your full Gmail address as the username, the App Password as the password, and Gmail’s servers: IMAP host imap.gmail.com, port 993 — SMTP host smtp.gmail.com, port 465.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes — by connecting inboxes that run on your domain. Create the mailboxes with your own email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or any provider with IMAP/SMTP access), then connect them under My Account → Connect Email. Dedicated inboxes purchased from us always come with a fresh domain we register for you — you can’t attach an existing domain to them. That’s intentional: sending cold outreach from a separate domain protects the reputation of your main domain.

How many emails can I send per day?

Each inbox has its own daily sending limit — up to 30 emails per day as the standard setting (when connecting your own inbox you can raise it to at most 50). We keep these limits low on purpose: sending more from a single inbox is the fastest way to end up in spam. To send more overall, connect or purchase additional inboxes — your total daily capacity is the sum across all of them.

Do you warm up my inboxes?

Inboxes you purchase from us are warmed up automatically — we handle warmup for as long as they’re active, and they start with a low sending limit that ramps up safely. Inboxes you connect yourself are not warmed up by us: use them only if they already have a healthy sending reputation, or warm them up with a third-party tool before running campaigns.
